Kenosha Homecoming Car Show, view from above with Lake Michigan in Kenosha, Wisconsin

Kenosha is a two-fer this weekend with great food and classic cars!

Taste of Wisconsin pairs with AMC Homecoming Weekend for an unbeatable combination of tasty fun – here’s a preview and our podcast conversation about them!

This is definitely a weekend to Visit Kenosha! The city always hums with activities but this weekend it’s all about classic cars and tasty food. The two main events are the Taste of Wisconsin, which runs every year the last weekend of July, and the Kenosha Homecoming Car Show, which takes place every three years or so. Both are amazing. And you can enjoy both!

Taste of Wisconsin

The Taste of Wisconsin kicks off Friday in the HarborPark district along the lakefront. This annual event runs through Sunday with over 40 food vendors, four beverage gardens, 75+ musical artists playing across four different stages, and a Kid Zone. The Demonstration Center offers a look at all kinds of foods and products for making awesome culinary delights – or just quick, tasty meals – from a number of chefs and others who show you how to make magic in the kitchen (or wherever!) Admission is FREE! And the food is delicious.

Kenosha Homecoming Car Show, July 24-27, 2025 in Kenosha, Wisconsin

Kenosha was a car manufacturing powerhouse for over 100 years. The Kenosha County Historical Society (aka the Kenosha History Center) celebrates the area’s industrial history with Kenosha Homecomng Car Show, running now through Sunday. Both the Museum and the Kenosha Homecoming Car Show help celebrate this legacy. The Thursday night Cruise-In goes right to the source, where factories like American Motors actually made so many classic cars. The big car show/swap meet is Saturday, July 26. This is among the largest AMC shows in the world!

On Sunday, they celebrate with races at Great Lakes Dragway in Union Grove, off County KR!

We also talked with Meridith Jumisko of Visit Kenosha about both of these events on our State Trunk Tour Podcast! Stream it below or listen and enjoy wherever you get your podcasts.

Kenosha covers Wisconsin’s southeastern corner, serving by I-41/94 and more directly by Highways 32, 50, and 158. Highway 31 heads north-south through the western areas of the city while the others send you right downtown. Take a road trip into the city and enjoy a ton of places and events, including these this weekend!
