Nestled in the hills of western Wisconsin along Highway 87 not far from the St. Croix River, the Chateau St. Croix Winery truly seems to whisk you away to a faraway place. Modeled after a European estate, the essence of France or Switzerland somewhat envelops you when you arrive in the winery’s Tasting Room and examine the art gallery, carriage house, and formal gardens… all surrounded by vineyards.
Chateau St. Croix uses local and California grapes to produce a variety of wines. Tours are available at noon on Saturdays and Sundays and last about half an hour. Tastings are available during regular business hours; you can get five wine tokens for $8 or ten for $16.
Wines from Chateau St. Croix include Whites, Reds, Rosés, and Dessert wines.
