Port Washington Ghost Walk

New Podcast: October Haunts & Road Trips with ghost walk host Josh Hughes

Josh Hughes is the creator of Weird Wisconsin where he explores and documents bizarre, forgotten, and haunted history all across the dairy state. From a young age he started to experience things he couldn’t quite explain and that’s led him on a life long journey to further experience and explain the supernatural. He has made a name for himself as the paranormal expert of Waukesha as the author of GHOSTS OF WAUKESHA and tour guide for waukesha ghost walks since 2021.

Together, Eric and Josh dive into history with a focus on the paranormal, focusing on several primary areas in Wisconsin. They include hauntings, ghost walks, healing water, breweries, and music) in Waukesha; the Beast of Bray Road, which Josh lays out the case that it could be very real; lore with the “Stone from the Devil’s Mouth” in Watertown; Whitewater’s status as a Second Salem with witchcraft, Octagons and the paranormal in Hudson; even the mysteries around Deaths Door and the lighthouses along the shores of Door County, where you could just be where spirits move between worlds where the water meets the land. We finish in Oshkosh in a cemetery, also near a sizable body of water – with death in the name.

You can pair haunted places across Wisconsin with plenty of other fun stuff on road trips and today on the State Trunk Tour podcast, we share a few examples and talk about some of Wisconsin’s most haunted places. And we welcome your own ideas for haunted road trips!
