Here’s what’s up for Thursday, June 23rd as Summerfest 2022 kicks off!
Summerfest 2022 kicks off today! The “World’s Largest Music Festival” is back with a different type of schedule this year: three weekends in a row, Thursdays through Saturdays, through July 9th.
Speaking of, there are no COVID requirement for Summerfest this year! Grounds are open from noon until midnight, per usual.
So, it’s Summerfest DAY 1: Thursday, June 23rd. And here’s the full info and lineup of performers for today and tonight!
Admissions Promo of the Day: It’s Stomp Out Hunger Day at Summerfest in conjunction with the Hunger Task Force. You get a FREE admission ticket from noon to 3pm when you donate three healthy non-perishable items. Canned fruits and vegetables, for example.

Summerfest is easy to get to via I-794 (Lakefront or Jackson/Van Buren exits from the west, Milwaukee Street exit from the south), Highway 32, or U.S. 18, the east end of which is right by the north gate for Summerfest. Three shuttles are also available from the College Avenue Park & Ride (south side, off I-94 at Exit #319), the State Fair Park & Ride (76th Street at Kearney, along I-94 in West Allis), or the Brown Deer Park & Ride (I-43/Highway 100/Highway 32 at Brown Deer Road). Shuttles run frequently and cost $12 round trip. You can buy passes ahead of time!
