The Packers home opener is Sunday night with a matchup against Chicago. Ahead of that 7:20 kickoff that completes the weekend, here’s what you can enjoy around the city – even if you’re not going to the game itself.
BLOCK PARTY DOWNTOWN
The Washington Street Block Party in downtown Green Bay runs from noon-3pm Saturday with live music including Shaker & the Egg, high school bands, bar specials and more up and down the street, which will be a big pedestrian-only party.
IGNIGHT MARKET ON BROADWAY
Across the Fox River, the igNight Market will be in full effect from 5-10pm Saturday, on Broadway between Walnut (Highway 29) and Howard Street. Check out music acts Tedious & Brief, Klassik, and headliners The Astronomers with a bevy of other performers, plus arts and crafts vendors with plenty of food, drink, dancing, and fun to make it an awesome evening no matter what else you have planned for the weekend.

OKTOBERFEST in Allouez:
The Lorelei Inn on S. Webster Avenue (Highway 57) in Allouez is having their Oktoberfest both Friday (starting at 4pm) and Saturday (starting at 1:30pm) to coincide with the Packers’ opening – because it’s also a Bears bar, and with the two teams squaring off, well, you have to pair that with German music and beer. This is their 16th Oktoberfest celebration with two busy tents, polkas everywhere, three beer trucks with an extensive lineup of fall brews from near and far, and all kinds of German eats. The music lineup includes The Cougars from 5:30 to 9:30 pm. Friday and on Saturday, they’ll have The Greatest Hits Polka Band from 2 to 5 pm followed by Big Mouth & The Power Tool Horns from 5:30 to 9:30 pm.
CONCERTS at or next to Lambeau:
Check out Train at 5pm Saturday at the Lambeau Field parking lot and/or Luke Combs at the nearby Resch Center at 7pm Saturday, with Jordan Davis and Morgan Wade opening. Green Bay is an easy road trip via I-41, I-43, U.S. 141, or Highways 29, 32, 54, 57, or 172.
SUNDAY: Titletown Gameday LIVE:
The 4 hours prior to kickoff are always fun in Titletown, where you can grab food and drinks, see live mural painting, enjoy tasty offering from the Ang and Eddie’s or Steel Belly BBQ food trucks, and even check out music from the Smoke Road Band on the Plaza Stage, all in the Titletown District directly across from Lambeau Field, right by the Ariens Ski Hill and Hinterland Brewing. It all happens starting at 3:20pm and most activities run until kickoff, which is at 7:20pm Sunday evening.
