Madison’s Shake the Lake celebrates summer with music, great food and drinks, aerialists, a human cannonball, petting zoo, and more… all topped with a fantastic fireworks show over Lake Monona.
Live music includes headliners Hairball on the WIBA-FM Metro Family Rock Stage; the 96.3 STAR Country Stage features Lee Brice, Dylan Scott, and Dylan Schneider.

At dusk, Festival Foods presents the Shake the Lake fireworks display, which will take place over the lake but light up not only the water, but the shoreline, downtown, The Capitol, and more in one of the highest-rated fireworks displays in the Midwest.
Shake the Lake runs Saturday, June 29th along John Nolen Drive (U.S. 151) and the Lake Monona shoreline. It’s a quick drive from The Beltline (U.S. 12/14/18), and U.S. 51 or Highways 30 or 113 from the east side. While there, check out the beauty of the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Monona Terrace, a crown jewel on the Madison skyline and a key stop along the Frank Lloyd Wright Trail!
Admission is free; there’s also the optional iHeartRadio Rooftop Party, providing a GREAT view of the fireworks, food stands, bars, and more activities for a $17 admission fee.
