The beautiful city of Chippewa Falls celebrates its sesquicentennial this year – that means 150 years (to put it more simply!) and the city is celebrating all year long. The weekend of August 8-10 though, is the biggest party: the Chippewa Falls Sesquicentennial Birthday Bash Weekend!
You don’t have to be able to pronounce it, much less spell it, but you sure can celebrate it as we mark the 150th anniversary of the incorporation of the City of Chippewa Falls. There are four days of events for all to enjoy, many of which are free to the public!

Chippewa Falls is easy to get to! Freeway access via U.S. 53 or Highway 29 brings you in from the south, north, east, or west. A scenic ride along the Chippewa River from the northeast on Highway 178 is always a great drive, and Highway 124 (the old U.S. 53) also brings you in from the north via Highways 40 and 64. Following the old Yellowstone Trail brings you in, too!
