Nestled in a corner of the peninsula containing downtown Minocqua, Minocqua Brewing Company started up in 1997 inside a former Masonic Temple, church, school, and library along Minocqua Lake. They expanded into a pub and restaurant in 2006 and during summer nights and weekends plenty of vacationers pack the place. Live music, lake views, and plenty of craft beer consumption takes place at Minocqua Brewing Company, which is just off U.S. 51 on the north end of Minocqua’s main street district. Highways 47 and 70 intersect just to the north in Woodruff.
Beers include the Road Kill Red Ale, Pudgy Possum Porter, Wild Rice Lager, and an M.P.A. – Minocqua Pale Ale.
