2 Doors Down Brewing Co., Wisconsin Rapids

Not to be confused with the band that has an additional door, 2 Doors Down Brewing is a craft brewery located in downtown Wisconsin Rapids. It got its name from Mr. B’s Taphouse, which is two doors down the street. This craft brewery opened its doors in its current location on Grand Avenue in 2022, within a block of the Wisconsin River and in the heart of the downtown area.

2 Doors Down features 30 beers on tap, about half of which they brew in-house. Their flagship beers include:

Hodag From Helles, a Helles Lager;
Newb’s Cream Ale
Deja Moo, a Farmhouse Ale
Wild Bill’s Brown Ale
Swiftwater Haze, a New England IPA
Rowdy’s Puck Bunny, a Blonde
Amber Waves, a Red Ale

Seasonals, including an Oktoberfest Märzen along with rotating beers that are in the sours, session IPA, wheat, lager, and pilsner category, appear at times throughout the year. They also keep quite a few guest taps on hand along with a variety of gluten-free beers.

2 Doors Down Brewing also offers pizzas and pretzels to ensure a good food/drink balance. The Tap Room is a pretty good size, and the bar has two long sections that can accommodate quite a few people. The next room features the brewing system where brewmasters can show you exactly what’s (literally) brewing.

Highways 13, 34, 54, and 73 bring you to Wisconsin Rapids; Highway 66 brings you close from Stevens Point, via Highways 13/34. All the state roads are routed just around the downtown area, but it’s only a few blocks to get into the heart of Wisconsin Rapids and to Grand Avenue, where you’ll find 2 Doors Down just east of the Wisconsin River. It’s a walkable area with a variety of shops, views of the water, even water ski shows in season.
