The Belgium Blues Bash is this year’s big music event that the Paramount Music Festival typically hosts. The whole idea is to celebrate Paramount Records, where artists during the 1917-1932 era – typically African-American – would come to a Wisconsin chair factory and record music in a studio the company had built. The songs would be distributed on Paramount Records, which is increasingly being recognized as one of the early trailblazers in Blues, R&B, Gospel, and even Country music. Belgium Blues Bash
« Back to EventsHosted by the Paramount Music Association, this year’s big (and socially-distanced) music celebration takes place in Belgium, Wisconsin. It’s called the Belgium Blues Bash, and it celebrates the remarkable music history of the area. There’s a reason neighboring towns Grafton and Port Washington are the northernmost locations on the Mississippi Blues Trail, after all. A nice lineup is on deck, and there will be plenty of room for social distancing.
