Chippewa Falls’ spirits rose even further in 2016 with the addition of Brewster Brothers Brewing and the Chippewa River Distillery. Located on the western edge of downtown along Business 29, the building is right across from the Chippewa River – the namesake of its distillery. Founded by two former supercomputer engineers, you can bet they worked on the most scientific and efficient ways to create their craft beers and spirits
Brewster Brothers Brewing Company features numerous beers on tap. Their main beers include the Rumble Bridge Cream Ale (named after a bridge in nearby Irvine Park), Ginger Red Ale, Wood Tick Pale Ale, Portersville Porter, Dark Timber Stout, Four Horse IPA, and more. They offer their Tilden Hefeweizen and Portersville Porter as seasonal brews and rotate a variety of beers on Nitro.
The Chippewa River Distillery varieties include Trumie’s Vodka, gin, whiskey, and rum – they specialize in signature cocktails with special flavors incorporating fruits and bitters. They’re young and experimenting, so don’t be surprised if you have an opportunity to try brand new concoctions when visiting.
In the Tasting Room, you can enjoy a sample of everything they make. They offer snack combinations for sale, as well as a variety of games to play and more if you plan on spending quite a while there. Food trucks often show up during events like Oktoberfest.
The Tasting Room is closed Monday and Tuesday. The rest of the week, their hours are:

You’ll find this historic, renovated building right along River Street/Business Highway 29/Business U.S. 53 on the west side of downtown Chippewa Falls. Highway 124 crosses just a few blocks to the east. The mainline Highway 29 freeway is two miles to the south, and the U.S. 53 freeway is two miles to the west.
