Approaching the Michigan Avenue Bridge in Sturgeon Bay, built in 1930 and for decades the only crossing to the “upper” Door Peninsula.
Highway 42 southbound comes to an end in Sheboygan, just west of downtown along 14th Street at Highway 23 – which has its east end at the same intersection. Continuing south, Highway 28 begins.
Olde Stone Quarry Park is along the waters of Green Bay about 4 1/2 miles north of Sturgeon Bay.
