Oshkosh Celebration of Lights« Back to Events
The Oshkosh Celebration of Lights is back for its 22nd year! Normally held at Menominee Park along the Lake Winnebago shoreline, due to special projects at the park this year the celebration has moved to the EAA Grounds at Wittman Regional Airport, where the EAA AirVenture takes place – right off I-41 and Highway 26 & 44/91 for easy access and just as much fun! This year, it runs from Friday, November 25th through Sunday, December 31st every evening from 5:30pm to 9:00pm.
The lights in the park reflect beautifully off the Lake Winnebago coast as you peruse a 1.2-mile stretch of illuminated holiday wonder. A 100-foot tree, sculptured scenes, twinkling animated light displays and accompanying holiday music makes this part of Oshkosh magical during the holidays.
Along with walking or driving through , you can enjoy a horse-pulled wagon ride through the grounds on select nights! You can book and pay for a carriage at 920-303-9200; they reserve rides in half-hour increments from 6pm to 8:30pm on the evenings of November 29th, December 6th, 11th, 13th, 18th, and 20th. Reservations are required. Horse-pulled wagon rides are $15 for adults, $10 for kids 4-18, kids under 4 are free provided they sit on a lap.
General Admission per carload is $20.00 with $5.00 off with a donation of a sealed hygiene item or non-perishable in-date food item. Food pantries across the area – scheduled by United Way – benefit from Celebration of Lights, so you’re helping for the holidays, too!
Oshkosh Celebration of Lights is open every day, 5:30pm – 9:00pm. I-41, U.S. 45, and Highways 21, 26, 44, 76, and 91 all bring you to Oshkosh!
