Milwaukee Summerfest: Day 2 Guide

Here’s what’s up for Friday, September 3rd at Summerfest, the World’s Largest Music Festival!
Summerfest 2018 Uline Stage and downtown

Summerfest 2021 kicked off yesterday and continues today and tomorrow for its first of three weekends in a row. This year, Summerfest runs Thursdays through Saturdays, each weekend kicking off with a Wednesday concert at the newly-remodeled American Family Insurance Amphitheater.

Speaking of, Summerfest is requiring proof of COVID vaccination or a negative test within the previous 72 hours of entry, so be sure to bring that as you go. Masks are recommended for indoor activity (restrooms, for example), but not required. Grounds are open from noon until midnight, per usual.

So, it’s Summerfest DAY 2: Friday, September 3rd. And here’s the full info and lineup of performers for today and tonight!

Admissions Promo of the Day: Two things are going on today: you can win free tickets if you have the Summerfest app, which also provides updated info on lineups and more. Summerfest is giving away 10,000 free tickets via the app – one per device – and you have a shot to win if you have it.

Summerfest app

It’s also Make a Child Smile Day, where the first 2,500 attendees who donate new or gently used children’s books of a $10 minimum value – like picture books or early readers – at the mid-gate promo booth between noon and 3pm receive a free Summerfest admission ticket.
