SUMMARY:Great Lakes Brew Fest
DESCRIPTION:Great Lakes Brew Fest takes place Saturday\, September 14th in Racine. The 2019 Festival Theme is Woodstock’s 50 years! The Fest features unlimited sampling of more than 450 craft beers and sodas from over 100 brewers\, plus many food trucks with a variety of food offerings\, all on the beautiful shore of Lake Michigan at the Racine Zoological Gardens just north of downtown. \nAll paid attendees will receive a souvenir tasting glass\, and local restaurants will have plenty of menu items available for purchase. Doors open at 3pm; VIP members begin at 2 (they get first crack at everything\, you see.) The festival also features live music including performances by the world renowned Kilties Drum and Bugle Corps\, the internationally-acclaimed group for whom the Great Lakes Brew Fest helps raise money for. There will be more music from Duosonic. \nThe Great Lakes Brew Fest also serves as the host of the Schooner Home Brew Championship. DESCRIPTION:The Potosi Tour de Pints is a three-day bicycle tour of the gorgeous (and hilly) Driftless Area of southwestern Wisconsin and portions of Iowa and far northwestern Illinois. This tour begins Friday\, September 6th and finishes on Sunday\, September 8th with camping and lodging options\, music\, food\, and more provided at the basecamp each night: Potosi Brewing Company. \nDay 1: Friday\, September 6th\, features a ride from Potosi south to Galena\, Illinois. Galena is a beautiful community with rich history\, and very popular with tourists. It’s just a few miles south of the Wisconsin-Illinois border. The ride heads down a variety of roadways from Potosi to Galena and then back\, where music and entertainment await at the base a.k.a. the Brewery. \nDay 2: Saturday\, September 7th\, you’ll ride southwest from Potosi to Dubuque\, Iowa\, crossing the Mississippi by bridge into the city. The ride returns to Potosi later that day\, where more music\, entertainment\, and of course craft beer await. \nDay 3: Sunday\, September 8th includes a ferry ride across the Mississippi! DESCRIPTION:Established back in 1871\, the Door County Fair is a fun-filled time for kids and adults of all ages. SUMMARY:2019 Pro Watercross Tour\, Racine
DESCRIPTION:Racine welcomes the only Pro Watercross Tour stop in Wisconsin this summer July 13-14! \nWatercross is basically motocross on Personal Watercrafts (PWCs or jet skis) – but these athletes compete on an unpredictable liquid track\, varying from oceans\, lakes and rivers. Competitors challenge the notion of what’s possible\, utilizing the most advanced equipment reaching speeds of over 85 mph against a full line of competitors to the extreme freestylist landing a double back-flip in surf. This sport is driven by their passion\, creating a lifestyle that combines adrenaline and pure enjoyment of being on the water. \n \nEach race begins with one of the most gut-wrenching experiences in motorsports the side-by-side gated start. Similar to horse racing\, a watercross racing start features 20 riders exploding off the line\, each thinking to themselves “I’m going to be the first one to that buoy.” Surviving the first-turn is just the beginning. Speed\, technique and racing ability will all come into play over the next 20 minutes\, as the riders begin to negotiate a series of left and right hand turns. \nThis exciting event is part of a national tour with stops in Panama City Beach and Pensacola Beach in Florida; Hartwell\, GA; and the National Championship in Charleston\, WV. \nRound Three takes place on the waters of Lake Michigan at Racine’s nationally-recognized North Beach\, with plenty of action in Closed Course\, Freestyle\, Freeride\, and Hydrodrag Racing both Saturday\, July 13th and Sunday\, July 14th. \n \nYou can get to Racine’s North Beach via Highways 11\, 20\, 32\, or 38 towards downtown. DESCRIPTION:Manawa hosts their annual PRCA Midwestern Rodeo Thursday-Saturday July 4-6\, 2019! Voted the Great Lakes Circuit “Best Medium Rodeo\,” the Manawa Midwestern Rodeo attracts over 15\,000 spectators to this town of 1\,300 in Waupaca County. \nAll weekend\, you can check out all the action of Bull and Bronc riding\, Steer Wrestling\, Team and Tie Down Roping and Women’s Barrel Racing. There’s also a pony ride\, vendors\, free dances after the evening rodeo performances\, a Chicken BBQ\, and at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday morning\, the Stampede 5K/10K run/walk takes place.
