DESCRIPTION:The annual Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will once again rumble through Wisconsin on part of its journey through the northern U.S. and Canada! Check out fun stops with beautiful lights and entertainment – the stops will take place along its CP route in Wisconsin from Tuesday\, December 9th through Thursday\, December 11th!\n\nThe dynamic lights dancing on the cars of the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train adds to the magical holiday feel – and makes it easy to spot as it rumbles across the state!\n\nHere are the scheduled stops and duration for the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train through Wisconsin\, from Sturtevant through the Milwaukee area and on to La Crosse\, with plenty of stops in between! Again this year\, there is no stop in downtown Milwaukee; however\, they did retain the stop in Caledonia\, in northern Racine County. Basically\, the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train follows the same route as the Amtrak train – but it will really catch your eye and fill you with holiday spirit. Peach Barn is also once again brewing a special Winter Ale for Christkindlmarkt. In its first appearance at Christkindlmarkt\, Island Orchard Cider of Ellison Bay is supplying one of its award-winning hard apple ciders to Christkindlmarkt\, available for purchase in the Drinks Hut. \nAnderson House\, the refurbished late 1800’s home on the museum property\, will again feature the popular pop-up bakery that debuted at the first annual event\, and will offer a wide selection of decorated cookies\, cardamom coffeecake\, pecan rolls\, pies\, and other baked goods. A unique selection of new and gently used Christmas ornaments and decorations\, plus vintage-style toys\, will also be on display and for sale in Anderson House. \nChildren can enjoy Kinder Punch or hot chocolate topped with whipped cream. DESCRIPTION:Automobile manufacturing took place in Kenosha for more than 100 years. The Kenosha County Historical Society (aka the Kenosha History Center) celebrates the area’s industrial history\, including how Kenosha’s auto-making legacy shaped history through the 20th Century. Both the Museum and the Kenosha Homecoming Car Show help celebrate this legacy. \nThe Kenosha Homecoming Car Show is a signature event in the Kenosha Area. Typically held every three years\, the celebration runs July 22-27\, 2025 with a variety of events across multiple locations. The big car show/swap meet is Saturday\, July 26. This is among the largest AMC shows in the world! \nBring your car to show it\, or just come as a spectator. The Kenosha History Center recommends car owners and swap meet vendors preregister for the show/swap meet. Cars and Vendors can also register the day of the show. \n\nKenosha Homecoming Car Show Schedule of Events\nThursday 7/24\n4PM – 8PM: Evening Car Cruise-in at AMC Factory Site\, off of 22nd Avenue and 30th Avenue. For the first time ever\, the Homecoming Car Show Thursday Night Cruise-in will be held on the site where it all started. All Kenosha-made automobiles are invited to attend an evening cruise-in on the Nash/AMC/Chrysler Factory Site (now the Kenosha Innovation Neighborhood). Bring your car back to where it was manufactured; it is sure to be a nostalgic evening. The event will be part of the City of Kenosha’s 175th Anniversary Celebration. All Kenosha-made vehicles will enter from 56th Street. Spectator parking will be announced soon. \nFriday 7/25\n8AM – 4PM: Homecoming Car Show Swap Meet at Kennedy Park\, 4051 5th Avenue. DESCRIPTION:“Wo-Zha-Wa” means “fun time” in the Ho-Chunk language\, and Wisconsin Dells offers just that September 13-15! As one of the largest festivals in Wisconsin\, Wo-Zha-Wa is a three day extravaganza with delicious food\, a 100-unit parade\, rousing live music\, and arts and crafts that everyone can enjoy. \nWo-Zha-Wa’s flea market (Maxwell Street Days) always has new novel items to check out including gourmet dog treats\, hand-made works of art\, custom pieces of jewelry\, organic cosmetics\, and wood flowers made before your eyes. You can stroll through all these different stalls while chowing down on some of the festival’s favorite culinary treats\, like kettle corn and alligator on a stick. \nThe whole family can enjoy themselves at Wo-Zha-Wa. The yearly Wo-Zha-Wa parade is a spectacle filled with floats\, performers\, and music that fills the entire street. The carnival rides are always a hit with the kids\, who always get a thrill on the rides’ twists\, turns\, and spins. \nWhen you attend\, you’re invited to participate in a street carnival with refreshment concessions and the Wo-Zha-Wa Run\, Wisconsin’s oldest long-distance race. SUMMARY:Oconomowoc Fall Festival
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the coming of fall with the Oconomowoc Fall Festival. This lovely town at the western edge of Waukesha County’s Lake Country has a bustling downtown nestled around Fowler Lake and Lac La Belle\, and the big party is on Saturday\, September 7th from 9am – 8pm\, rain or shine. \nThere will be over 80 street vendors\, lots of food\, shopping\, kids’ events\, dancing\, and festivities including a Beer Garden.  Some details are still being adjusted\, but for now there’s still a Chili Pepper Eating Contest in the afternoon\, along with kayak races you can watch\, or even participate in! Live music will punctuate the fun afternoon into evening. \nHere’s the music lineup:\n12:30pm – Candy Cigarette\n2pm – The Stangs\n4:15pm – Throw Back Stereo\n7pm – Kingfish Band \n\nAn outdoor movie begins at dusk\, extending the Oconomowoc Fall Festival well into the evening. While in Oconomowoc\, check out the Wizard of Oz display in Oz Plaza along Wisconsin Avenue (the movie’s official premiere took place there on August 12\, 1939)\, a great classic drive-in called The Kiltie\, as well as craft breweries like Brewfinity and SteelTank. \nYou can get to Oconomowoc via Highway 16 or Highway 67. Forget the bypass routes; follow the original roads right into downtown. That includes Main Street\, Summit Avenue\, and Wisconsin Avenue.
