The dates this year\, all Thursdays – Saturdays\, are June 18-20\, June 25-27\, and July 2-4\, 2026.  \nSummerfest dates back to 1968 and has since become a key venue for the music industry’s hottest stars\, emerging talent and local favorites to create unforgettable live music experiences in a world-class festival setting. Running along Milwaukee’s lakefront nestled within downtown\, the Historic Third Ward\, Discovery World\, I-794\, and Lake Michigan\, Summerfest offers not only music but over 45 food and beverage vendors\, four marketplaces offering crafts and wares from all over the world\, interactive exhibits\, and just cool general fun.  Northwestern Mutual Community Park includes a Children’s Stage and play area that offers a fun experience for the kids. them on your mobile. These tickets are good for the entire grounds and any show with the exception of the American Family Insurance Amphitheater shows. Seniors 62 and over and Children 3-10 can get discount tickets at the gate. Children 2 and under are admitted free. DESCRIPTION:Are you aware of the great music history of Blues\, Jazz\, R&B\, gospel\, country\, classical and more in… Ozaukee County? The Paramount Music Festival is! Yes\, Grafton and Port Washington were music hotspots back in the day\, hosting musicians and their studio sessions at Paramount Records. Thousands of recordings were made and millions of records were pressed in Grafton\, laying groundwork for the most popular music genres to ever come out of this country from 1917 until 1932. \nFor a decade and a half\, 78 rpm records were pressed and distributed to the nation\, allowing artists such as Lawrence Welk\, Blind Lemon Jefferson\, Tom Dorsey and Louis Armstrong to inspire future music generations and lay the seeds for the R&B and Rock ‘N Roll Eras. Between 1929 and 1932 alone\, over 1\,600 songs were recorded in Grafton at a make-shift studio in the Wisconsin Chair Factory; the output accounted for about 1/4 of the so-called “race records” of the era. The musicians often came up from Milwaukee or Chicago by train\, recorded in Grafton\, and stayed overnights in Port Washington where Paramount and the Wisconsin Chair Company had their offices. So many major and influential musicians cut records here that it’s an official stop on the Mississippi Blues Trail! \nOn July 22-23\, 2022\, the Paramount Music Festival celebrates Paramount Records and all the music it produced. Two days of incredible live music\, food and family fun with local\, regional and national musicians take the stage to celebrate the history of Paramount Records. The dates will be in September this year to maximize the possibility of the COVID vaccine making it safer for a bigger gathering. DESCRIPTION:Hosted by the Paramount Music Association\, this year’s big (and socially-distanced) music celebration takes place in Belgium\, Wisconsin. It’s called the Belgium Blues Bash\, and it celebrates the remarkable music history of the area. There’s a reason neighboring towns Grafton and Port Washington are the northernmost locations on the Mississippi Blues Trail\, after all. A nice lineup is on deck\, and there will be plenty of room for social distancing. \nThe Belgium Blues Bash is this year’s big music event that the Paramount Music Festival typically hosts. The whole idea is to celebrate Paramount Records\, where artists during the 1917-1932 era – typically African-American – would come to a Wisconsin chair factory and record music in a studio the company had built. The songs would be distributed on Paramount Records\, which is increasingly being recognized as one of the early trailblazers in Blues\, R&B\, Gospel\, and even Country music. DESCRIPTION:Steel Bridge Songfest\nSteel Bridge Songfest is the “Greatest Original Songwriters’ Festival in the Midwest.” Songwriters of national\, regional\, and local acclaim come together to write songs inspired by Sturgeon Bay’s Historic Steel Bridge. It consists of a four-day songwriting collaborative called the Construction Zone; their slogan is “Music so fresh it hasn’t been written yet!” \nFounded in 2005 by musician Pat MacDonald (of Timbuk3 fame) and his sister\, Steel Bridge Songfest began as part of a grass-roots campaign to restore the historic “Steel Bridge” – the original route of Highways 42 and 57 as they crossed Sturgeon Bay. 2019 marks a renewed direction for Steel Bridge Songfest. The non-profit they operate is becoming the Steel Bridge Creative Foundation\, and previous events like the pub crawl and the outdoor festival are being suspended for this year while they renew their focus on the music. As they noted: \n“While the pub crawl has been an annual shot in the arm for the bar scene\, and the outdoor festivals provide some good clean fun for the community\, our strongest supporters know that the heart and soul of ALL of our events has always been The Construction Zone where the songwriting and recording happens. This collaborative group process\, based on games of spin-the-bottle\, is unlike anything else happening anywhere. And we happen to be blessed with the perfect performance venue for bringing it all to light. DESCRIPTION:Eaux Claires is a huge two-day music and arts festival featuring terrific live performances\, music\, and crafts along the banks of the Chippewa River on 60 acres of farmland just outside the city of Eau Claire. \nIn year four of Eaux Claires\, they’re reconfiguring the grounds\, re-imagining the staging and devoting more attention to the one-of-a-kind experiences that make this festival unique. They’re enhancing the interplay between the artists to allow more performances per artist\, many more collaborations throughout the duration of the festival and\, well\, more once in a lifetime moments. Expect to see unpredictable performances\, hidden venues and surprise collaborations across a full two days of music and togetherness. \nThe festival\, curated by Justin Vernon and Aaron Dessner\, runs July 6-7\, 2018. DESCRIPTION:The 40th anniversary of the Wisconsin State Polka Festival takes place May 18-20\, 2018 in a new location – the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel at Mitchell International Airport! \nIf you’re a polka music aficinado\, or even if you’re not\, this is a fun time. The Wisconsin State Polka Festival is open to the public\, with a three-day pass available for $45\, daily admission options\, and children under 14 are admitted free. You might as well partake\, since polka is Wisconsin’s state music and the beats can’t be beat! \nThe music begins Friday\, May 18th at 5pm in two different ballrooms. This exciting series is free of charge to members of the Cultural Center and children under 5. Non-member general admission is $5 at the door. Full details are on the Cedarburg Cultural Center website. \nHistoric downtown Cedarburg can be reached via Washington Avenue\, which is Historic Highway 57. Today’s Highway 57\, as well as Highways 60\, 167\, and 181\, come close. I-43/Highway 32 is also a few miles to the east and you can access Cedarburg via County C (Exit 89).
