SUMMARY:Wisconsin State Polka Festival
DESCRIPTION:The 40th anniversary of the Wisconsin State Polka Festival takes place May 18-20\, 2018 in a new location – the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel at Mitchell International Airport! \nIf you’re a polka music aficinado\, or even if you’re not\, this is a fun time. The Wisconsin State Polka Festival is open to the public\, with a three-day pass available for $45\, daily admission options\, and children under 14 are admitted free. You might as well partake\, since polka is Wisconsin’s state music and the beats can’t be beat! \nThe music begins Friday\, May 18th at 5pm in two different ballrooms. The lineup includes Squeezebox with Molly and Ted\, the Zweifel Brothers\, Bob Korek Band\, and the Top Notchmen. These bands will alternate performances until 10:30pm. \nDance lessons commence Saturday morning (May 19th) at 10am. Squeezebox and the Mark Jirikovec Band will alternate in one ballroom from 12:30pm to 6:30pm. Steve Meisner will play from 6:30pm to 10:30pm in the same ballroom Saturday. In the second ballroom\, Kenny Brandt and the Hauser Hotshots will begin at 1pm and play off and on until 7pm. Virgil Baker from Michigan starts at 7 and plays until 10:30pm. \nSunday features a religious service with the Goodtime Dutchmen at 11am.
