SUMMARY:Milwaukee NARI Home & Remodeling Show
DESCRIPTION:The Fall 2021 Milwaukee NARI Home & Remodeling Show gives you a great opportunity to examine and explore your home and remodeling plans as we get into the colder weather and look ahead to 2022. At the show\, you can meet 60+ remodeling and home improvement experts!  Think about what you might want to do with your home moving forward – perhaps a remodeled kitchen that makes a statement\, a spa-like master bathroom maybe a high-efficiency furnace\, new casement windows\, or updated lighting. \nThe big theme at the Milwaukee NARI Home & Remodeling Show this year is “Design Through the Decades\,” with the following presentations: \n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe ’60s from Sebastian Design\n\nSebastian Design portrays the ’60s with a “California mid-century” open concept living room.\nPicture a low-slung home set in the Hollywood Hills that features natural materials of wood and stone paired with a complimentary color palette of muted greens and burnt oranges. Now\, add in a long\, low-backed asymmetrical couch\, sleek Noguchi glass coffee table and upholstered Scandinavian chairs with wooden legs to complete the scene. \n“The ’60s are a fun period to work in because they were typified by a look that’s clean and simple yet strikingly stylish. In fact\, design elements from the ‘60s are still around in today’s open concept homes referred to as mid-century modern\,” says Bob Sebastian\, MCR\, MCKBR\, CR\, CKBR\, UDCP\, owner of Sebastian Design in Wauwatosa.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe ’70s from AB&K \nAB&K is tapping into the opulent\, over-the-top luxury of the ’70s by recreating a high-end bathroom. \nAnd\, thanks to Kohler\, the room will feature an oversized\, drop-in black soaking tub and vintage shampoo sink. Other room appointments include black\, shag-inspired carpeting\, foil wallpaper\, marble-like countertops and a translucent back-lit wall. \n“As we were planning the space\, I was able to visit Kohler and look through their advertising archives. I found one ad called ‘The Bath’ that really spoke to the flamboyant and bold design we wanted to portray\,” says Tracy Grosspietsch\, CKBR\, UDCP\, director of design and sales for AB&K in Greenfield. “Kohler generously allowed us to borrow some of their original pieces so you’ll get to see those in our ’70s space.”\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe ’80s from MKE Design Build \nMKE Design Build is recreating the hallowed ground of a teenager’s bedroom from the ’80s. \nThe room is inspired by the classic movie\, “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off\,” and will feature concert posters\, a neon sign\, VCR\, Atari game system and oak desk. \n“When we started planning our space\, we realized many of those who are attending the show were teens during the ’80s so we want-ed to take them back to how their bedroom may have looked\,” says Michelle Swier\, co-owner and senior designer at MKE Design Build in St. Francis.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe ’90s from Gabor Design Build\nGabor Design Build is using two classic TV shows\, “Home Improvement” and “Roseanne”\, as their inspiration for a typical ’90s family room. \n“The ’90s were about family and comfortable living so that’s what you’ll see in our space\,” says Peter Jensen of Gabor Design Build in Germantown. \nTrue to the time\, the room will feature the one furniture item that overshadowed the decade – the extremely large oak entertainment center. A plaid couch\, glass-topped coffee table with brass legs and comfy décor items complete the room. “In reality\, once you had the large entertainment center\, there wasn’t enough room for much else\,” adds Jensen.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe 00s from Renovations Group \nRenovations Group is creating a living space inspired by an Italian villa in the Tuscan countryside and the 2003 film Under the Tuscan Sun. \n“The 2000’s brought a rapid rise of technology and reality TV along with the desire to escape it all into the Tuscan countryside\,” says Bryan Ward\, CKBR\, Design Consultant Manager of the Renovations Group\, Inc. “We saw a rise in rich\, sunbaked earthy tones\, rustic elements\, and Italian influences providing warmth and comfort during this time.” \nThe space will provide décor full of bronze finishes\, warm tones\, elaborate tapestries\, and brown furnishings.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlus\, a Selfie Space From the 10s where you can take a photo inside a modern day living room to remember your visit. The State Trunk Tour does not recommend duck lips in the photos\, even if they are for Instagram. \n\nWhatever it might be\, the NARI Home & Remodeling Show at the Wisconsin Products Pavilion at State Fair Park is the place to gather ideas\, inspiration and expert advice from true home improvement professionals. More than 60 NARI Milwaukee exhibitors will be on hand to answer questions\, make recommendations and provide homeowners with guidance\, solutions\, and creative suggestions. \nParticipating exhibitors cover the gamut of remodeling and home improvement experts – ranging from design/build firms to specialized contractors for all areas the home\, roofing\, gutters\, windows\, doors\, HVAC\, plumbing\, and more. \nTickers to the Milwaukee NARI Home & Remodeling Show are $8 online\, $10 at the door; Seniors 60+ are also $8 at the door\, kids 17 and under are free. Active military\, retired military\, veterans\, first responders\, and medical personnel get free admission as well. \nYou’ll find the pavilion on the Wisconsin State Fair Park grounds in West Allis\, just south of I-94 and U.S. 18\, bordered on the west by Highway 181/84th Street and on the south by Highway 59/Greenfield Avenue. I-41/894 & U.S. 45 and Highway 100 are just to the west. Best gate to enter is just off Highway 181/84th Street. \nMilwaukee NARI Home & Remodeling Show Address:\nWisconsin Products Pavilion\nWisconsin State Fair Park\n640 S. 84th Street (Highway 181)\nWest Allis\, WI 53214\nWebsite \n \n\n\n\n \nBack to StateTrunkTour.com
