SUMMARY:Sparta Butterfest
DESCRIPTION:Sparta holds some notable festivals\, and Butterfest is the biggest one of the year. Along with plenty of butter\, the festival features numerous events. \nAmong them: the A&P Carnival\, one of the Midwest’s best. There’s also a craft and flea market\, a quilt show\, softball tournaments\, a cornhole bean bag tournament\, dance demonstrations\, firemen’s water fights\, a milking contest\, stage entertainment\, and much more. The Miss Sparta Pageant will be held during the event\, one of the sanctioned events where the winner can then compete in Miss Wisconsin. \nIt runs Thursday June 11th through Sunday\, June 14th. DESCRIPTION:The Lakefront Festival of Art (LFOA) is one of the premier art festivals in the country. This family-friendly festival at the world-famous Milwaukee Art Museum features over 170 national artists with art for sale in a variety of media\, including paintings\, sculptures\, jewelry\, photography\, printmaking\, wood\, ceramics\, fiber\, and more. The artists display and sell right on Milwaukee’s beautiful lakefront\, both indoors and outside under a series of white tents. Features on the grounds include a sculpture garden\, children’s art activities\, entertainment\, artist demonstrations and food/beverage vendors. \n \nSince 1963\, LFOA has been a primary fundraiser for the Milwaukee Art Museum and organized with the help of Friends of Art volunteers. Over 1\,300 individuals volunteer annually to help organize and operate events like the Lakefront Festival of Art. SUMMARY:Polish Fest
DESCRIPTION:Polish Fest is the largest Polish cultural festival in America\, and it’s right on Milwaukee’s lakefront! Authentic dancing\, food\, music\, family activities\, and plenty of other entertainment (accordions may be involved.) \nSome of that extra entertainment includes vodka tastings\, the annual Chopin Youth Piano Competition\, folk arts and crafts\, and plenty of children’s activities. \nPolish Fest runs Friday\, June 12th and Saturday\, June 13th from noon until 11pm; Sunday the 14th from noon to 7pm. DESCRIPTION:Eagle River has Up North Beerfest back for 2026! It happens with Premier Beer Night Friday\, June 12th and the main event Saturday\, June 13th. It all happens at Hi-Pines Campground. \nWalk the red carpet – literally – for Premier Beer Night from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday evening. This insider event allows participants to sample beers from 16 breweries which WON’T be available during the Saturday main event. Sip suds and enjoy tasty hors d’oeuvres. Premier Beer Night tickets are available for $85. \nThe main event—Up North BeerFest—goes from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday and includes up to 30 breweries from Wisconsin and the Midwest. Festivalgoers will be given a sampling glass for their 2 to 3-ounce pours\, a beer guide to find breweries at the festival\, and live music. Food is available for purchase from the Eagle River Veterans Resource Center. \nNew in 2026! People’s Choice Best Brew award to be given to the brewer with the most votes from event attendees. \nMany of the breweries will be recognizable\, from Eagle River’s very own Tribute Brewing Co. and Riverstone Brewing Company to O’SO Brewing Company. SUMMARY:Sister Bay Roofing of the Goats Parade
DESCRIPTION:Well\, THIS is an interestingly-named event: the Roofing of the Goats Parade takes place at Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant & Butik in Sister Bay\, Wisconsin on Saturday\, June 13th\, 2026 at 11:00 am right along Highway 42. \nAll goats are invited to participate in the 12th annual Roofing of the Goats parade! Don’t have a goat? Then line up and watch the famous Al Johnson’s goats while they head down the streets to climb up onto the sod roof. They will be joined by many of their local Door County goat friends who will also be at the festivities. Goat costumes\, goatees\, Viking hats\, and other creative endeavors are encouraged. The parade begins at the corner of Mill Road and Highway 42 in downtown Sister Bay\, and goes a trot\, kick and a leap down the road to Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant. The parade culminates with the roofing of the first goats of the season at Al Johnson’s (weather permitting – the goats don’t go on the roof in rain or snow). The Goat Parade will be followed by Al Johnson’s annual Goat Fest\, located at Stabbur Beer Garden\, next to the restaurant. Goat Fest will feature all day festivities including: live music\, kid’s games\, various beverages\, great food\, and a Swedish Pancake Eating contest. Other businesses throughout town will also be celebrating with specials. \n \nReturning this year is the Goat Drop Contest. You can help support the Northern Door Food Pantry and have some fun. With a purchase of a goat drop sticker\, you will be entered in to win a Trek Fat Tire Cruiser bike from Husby’s and Flanigan’s Distributing\, a $100 gift card from Al Johnson’s\, or a Lunch and Farm Tour from Door County Creamery.
