Pitchfork Brewing Company

Pitchfork Brewing was started by some local home brewers in Hudson who kept at it for nearly 20 years before opening their brewery in 2013. Originally located in a strip mall area visible from I-94, they hopped across U.S. 12 into a larger facility in a small industrial park a few years later. They have continued to expand ever since and now call their Tap Room a  “Smokehouse Brew Pub.” They pride themselves on local ingredients, especially locally-grown hops and special varieties that they combine for some unique takes on traditional styles.

Oh, why “Smokehouse” Brew Pub? Because Pitchfork smokes their own meats, which you can enjoy in their tap room or to-go.  The smoked meats adorn sandwiches, pizzas, and nachos. Their pizza crusts are made using spent grains from the brewing process. You can also opt for a big German pretzel to share – or hoard yourself!

Pitchfork is closed Mondays. They’re open 2pm – 8pm Tuesday through Thursday, 2pm – 9pm Friday and Saturday, and Noon – 8pm on Sunday.

You’ll find Pitchfork just off I-94’s Exit 4 and U.S. 12 on the eastern edge of Hudson. Ryan Drive is just off U.S. 12 north of the freeway. You can spot the building with their logo displayed on it on the east side of the highway. Highway 35 is just a mile to the west, so if you’re heading up 35 it’s easy access via I-94, too.
