Windigo Fest« Back to Events
Windigo Fest is a celebration of all things Halloween. The spine-chilling festival takes place in historical downtown Manitowoc, Wisconsin on Franklin Street, right outside the chamber door of the town’s “quaint” little tourist destination know as Dead by Dawn Dead & Breakfast. All Hallows Eve enthusiasts with a hunger for the strange and unusual can experience a weekend filled with various seasonal activities including outstanding music, costume contests, dark art exhibits and contests, bizarre performances, and the historical cemetery bus tour. Windigo Fest kicks off Friday evening. After a day full of Halloween havoc, a parade will again display the Midwest’s best competitive costumes.
You can see Bill Gibson’s famous (or infamous, if you prefer) Christine car from the movie. It’s the most expansive, immersive Christine experience traveling today, now with fourteen years of thrilling fans under her wheels. Christine Movie Car offers more than your average show car experience, as she comes to life before your eyes, headlights glowing, smoke rolling and doo wop tunes flowing.
And back this year, a celebrity appearance by Butch Patrick – yes, Eddie Munster from the 1960s hit TV show The Munsters!
That’s just part of the Entertainment Lineup, which includes sideshow performer Jezzibel, the horror/comedy show Deadgar Winter, Belly Dancers Carrie and Istra, original “Horror Punk” band Ratbatspider, fortune teller Skully Sati, and bands Da Gof Rockerz, KALLAS, and Sedated – A Tribute to the Ramones.
Join in on one of the many prize winning contests, enjoy the music, or just slither into the horrific hoopla that Windigo Fest has to offer! Come for the day or stay for the weekend….but don’t be caught dead without checking out the second annual All Hallows Eve Windigo Fest!
It runs Friday, October 4th through Sunday, October 6th in downtown Manitowoc. The parade is Saturday evening at 7:06pm. That 7:06 is not a typo.
