Timm House Christmas« Back to Events
The Timm House was built in 1873 as a Greek Revival “stick style” home for one of the founders of New Holstein, with an addition competed in 1892. This year’s Timm House Christmas offers a once in a lifetime chance to view a collection of “Oz” related items which have been collected by a local historic society member over a 45-year period. You won’t see this in Kansas, or anywhere else!
As in past Timm House Christmases, the first floor of the restored Victorian residence has undergone a holiday transformation. During the month of December each first floor room is decorated to depict an element of the famous children’s book series and hit 1939 movie that introduced us to the “Land of Oz.”
The 2018 tour theme is “The Night Before Christmas.”
Admission for adults is $5, children 12 and under are $2.50.
The Timm House is located at 1600 Wisconsin Avenue in New Holstein along Highways 32 and 57 and is open for viewing from 1:00 to 4:00 PM on December 16-17, 23-24, and 30-31. Tours are also available at other times, by appointment, through a call to (920) 898-5746. A tour fee is charged.
