The Hoard Historical Museum and National Dairy Shrine in Fort Atkinson has its annual Dairy Day at the “MOOseum” Saturday, June 2nd. It’s a celebration of all things dairy!
Learn about the dairy industry—both past and present—from the cow to the final products of cheese, yogurt, and milk. Booths featuring dairy-related businesses, groups, and dairy samples available throughout grounds and Museum.
Inga from PBS’ Around the Farm Table will be here to talk about dairy tourism and hold a cooking demonstration at 11:30 a.m.
This year’s Dairy Cook-off theme is grilled cheese sandwiches, and you can buy a grilled cheese sandwich from Jefferson County Agribusiness or a Root-breed float in honor of your favorite dairy breed for lunch!
Family friendly activities include as barn games, dairy trivia, and the Cow Parade, which gets “moooo-ving” at 1:30 pm.
