Black River Falls and the Jackson County Fairgrounds get into the Gemütlichkeit spirit with Black River Area Oktoberfest! This 12th annual music, beer, food, and fun-filled event takes place Friday, October 5th and Saturday, October 6th.
The Kick-Off Party is Friday evening from 6-9 pm at Sand Creek Brewing in Black River Falls, with live music and plenty of food and locally-brewed craft beer to kick off Black River Falls Oktoberfest.
Saturday features tons of music and entertainment at the Jackson County Fairgrounds, from 10am – 10pm. Artists and bands include Dave Kiral, Gary’s Ridgeland Dutchmen, and evening headliner Copper Box. The “Tapping of the Golden Keg” will happen at 1pm. There will be plenty of food and drink vendors, a caricature artist, children’s inflatables, games and face painting, a photo booth, horse-drawn wagon rides, alpacas from Fevolden Farm, a giant pumpkin you can guess the weight of to win prizes, and of course plenty of German celebrations and bier specialties. Free shuttles will run from Sand Creek Brewing to the Jackson County Fairgrounds throughout the day Saturday from 10am – 5pm.
The “Things That Roll” Car Show also takes place on the Jackson County Fairgrounds Saturday, with cars, trucks, motorcycles, tractors, classic RVs, ATVs and more. Many are classics; some are sport; all are fun to explore. It’s a motor paradise as part of the Black River Falls Oktoberfest.
Black River Falls is along I-94, U.S. 12, and Highways 27 and 54. The Jackson County Fairgrounds are right along Highway 54 on the southwest edge of town.
