Duesterbeck's Brewing Company

Duesterbeck’s Brewing opened on October 26, 2019 on the Duesterbeck family farm along County O, north of Delavan. Calling it itself a “Premier Farmhouse Microbrewery,” it’s in the area bounded by Highways 11, 89, and U.S. 12 in Walworth County with an Elkhorn mailing address. But rest assured it’s several miles out of any actual city. Located in one of the barns on the family property that was impressively remodeled into a state-of-the-art craft brewery with a large Tap Room, Duesterbeck’s began with several signature beers and will work on more as they expand.

Signature beers at Duesterbeck’s include their Crop Duester Cream Ale; the Roosterbeck Amber Lager; Bee Be Crazy Hefeweizen with honey; Muddy Duroc London Brown Ale; Nutty Bill’s Peanut Butter Porter; Pina COW-lada Fruited Ale; the It Doesn’t Matter, Harold German Pils; along with some seltzers and guest taps. You can pick flights of 4 or 6 beers in five-ounce sample glasses, do a pint (served mason jar-style), or take home a growler. Then again, you can probably drink the growler there too – but it’d be best to share.

Duesterbeck’s whips up good snacks to nosh on with those beers, along with pizzas and a hot pretzel that’s bigger than your head – or the combined head sizes of your group. Seating is available at the bar and tables range from high-tops to picnic tables. The patio outside has a lot of room, offers games like bags, a stage for live music, and in summer months an outdoor bar area and often, food trucks.

Friday-Saturday 11am – 10pm
Sunday 11am – 6pm

To reach Duesterbeck’s from Delavan, follow County O north from Highways 11 or 50 on Delavan’s east side. From Elkhorn, follow County H (Historic U.S. 12) to Sugar Creek Road and then head south briefly on County O right after the nearby Apple Barn Orchard & Winery. From Whitewater, follow County P to Sugar Creek Road and then head south on County O. Trust us, nobody just happens to stumble across this place – yet it was pretty busy on the random Sunday evening we stopped in!
