District 14 Brewery

District 14 Brewery is in the heart of Milwaukee’s historic Bay View neighborhood. They serve a variety of their own craft beers and offer pizzas and a variety of fare in a pub-like atmosphere that occasionally includes live music. It’s not a huge place, so even a small crowd makes for a lively atmosphere in the heart of a lively district south of downtown.

Beers include (at least when we wrote this, it changes based on availability of ingredients, season, etc.) an Irish ale named Stumbly McBlarneypants, a session ale called Second Session, a Dirty Blonde, their Orange Barrel Kush IPA, Bronze Fonz Barley Wine, the Grifter, Lonesome Whistle IPA, the Shaman, and – when we visited – a Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout called Dixie Pushka, which is aged in a Willett Bourbon barrel with Cacao and coffee. They get complex here.

District 14 Brewery & Pub opened in 2015 and has become one of the city’s most widely respected craft beer breweries. They also feature open mic nights and frequently host bands playing anything ranging from jazz to bluegrass.

You’ll find District 14 Brewery & Pub along Highway 32/Kinnickinnic Avenue, where Howell and Lincoln meet. It’s about half a mile east of I-43/94 and Highway 38/6th Street.
